Scofield and Hancock gigs

John Scofield: "Uberjam" and Herbie Hancock with Bobby Huycherson, Scott Colley and Teri Lyne Carrington are on at the Barbican in london........

Hancock - Tues 1st July
Scofield - Fri 6th June

Does anybody know what scofields band is like live......i enjoyed his early stuff with chambers etc and the album "bump" was cool but is it worth going? and whats teri Lyne Carrington like and what stff does that band play?

Louie, you can go to amazon or Tower records sites to hear clips of uberjam if you are interested in hearing any of it. (incase you're unsure).

Scofields shit hot ..his bands always shit hot..Terry lynne is double shit hot and yes its worth going to. [img]smile.gif[/img]

TLC is a great player... not to pidgeonhole her [or be too "un-P.C."], but she is 1 of the best female drummers around anywhere [fact is, she's just simply a really good player, fem or otherwise]... & u know darn well if Scof's got her, she rips [& he's had the best - Den, Omar, BenP, TLC, BStewart, etc]... i saw Scof & band at Jax FL Jazz Fest a few yrs back & it was great - Ben Perowsky - ANOTHER great player, who also plays w Stern - on drums]...

Louie, u need to pick up -
John Patitucci's "Sketchbook" CD [has Vinnie, TLC, Erskine, & Acuna on drums], &
Eric Marienthal's "Crossroads" [Vinnie, Weckl, & TLC, w Acuna on perc - altho TLC's mis-labeled as being on track 1, "The Sun
Was In My Eyes," when it was really actually Weckl - a typo/misprint]
